Implementation of CAPP ILO PRO-AGRO YOUTH PROJECT 2023

Community Action for People Participation (CAPP) is a local nongovernmental organization registered under the laws of Malawi as the registered trustees of Community Action for People Participation. The organization was established and started its work in 2018 and officially registered by the government of Malawi. CAPP established a Vocational Training College (VTC) on a non-profit basis to support the government of Malawi in its development idea to create jobs through offering quality vocational training to youth in Malawi. CAPP VTC has been providing subsidized non-formal trainings to vulnerable youth in carpentry, bricklaying, nutrition, public health, practical agriculture, and electrical installation. The agriculture course, which began in 2020, covers both crop and animal husbandry.

CAPP VTC is implementing the Pro Agro Youth Project, Support to integrated agri business hubs in Malawi by Developing Capacities of the Rural Youth to attain wage and self-employment in the Agriculture sector through a project in Chiradzulu district targeting three Extension Planning Areas (EPA),namely Thumbwe, Mbulumbuzi and Mombezi. CAPP is implementing a Pro Agro youth project, support in targeted Agribusiness hubs by developing capacities of rural youth to attend wage un self employed youth in agriculture sector through a project in Chiradzulu district targeting the extension planning area( EPA)Namely Thubwe Mbulumbuzi, Mombezi. The project has been implementing through satellite centres.

Major activities

  • Filling and complete service truckers forms
  • Industrial learning visits
  • Interaction with milk bulking groups centres and lead farmer to the daily farming

All 8 clubs received the training about entrepreneur by improving their chances of successful it also help them to build successful and sustainable the projects positively impact theirs communities and contribute to the local economy.
